ESTHER STOCKER in Trento

Commissioned in the framework of #EstherStocker’s exhibition 𝘊𝘢𝘰𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘮𝘰, the Municipality of Trento, in collaboration with #Mart, entrusted the artist with the realization of a site-specific public work for the pedestrian underpass connecting the city center with the new intermodal mobility hub — a key project within Trento’s major urban regeneration plan for the Ex SIT area.

Presented at Galleria Civica di Trento, Caos calmo brought together over fifty works, many of them shown for the first time, reflecting the last five years of Stocker’s practice through paintings, installations, and a site-specific intervention conceived for the museum spaces.

"Faszination Papier" Ugo Rondinone in Albertina

Fascination with Paper focuses on the collection, which comprises more than one million objects, and showcases both outstanding works of art and the astonishing diversity of paper as a material: from foldable sundials to drawings and sculptures to artistic playing cards. Historical and contemporary perspectives meet across the centuries. Well-known masterpieces are juxtaposed with newly discovered, rare, or never-before-seen works, opening up new perspectives on the collection. In ten technical and thematic chapters, arranged like a parcours, the exhibition invites visitors to discover this fascinating world of paper.

Esther Stocker, Gerwald Rockenschaub und Josef Bauer at Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz

Esther Stocker, Gerwald Rockenschaub and Josef Bauer are part of the exhibition 𝘾𝙤𝙤𝙡. 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙢𝙡𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙀𝙧𝙬𝙞𝙣 𝙃𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙧 at the Lentos Art Museum in Linz.

In 2024, Erwin Hauser, Vice President of the Lentos Friends [Association of Friends of the Lentos], donated his art collection of 2,994 works to the city of Linz and the Lentos.

To mark this occasion, Lentos is presenting an initial ‘best of’ exhibition that provides insights into the history of the collection and showcases the highlights of this outstanding collection of predominantly Austrian artists, which the Linz entrepreneur has built up over the last 25 years with his expert judgement.

The Erwin Hauser Collection, one of the most important private collections in Austria, comprises paintings, sculptures, photographs and drawings by around 770 Austrian artists from the 19th century to the present day.
